I

Series A due diligence

Commercial due diligenceFamily officeConsumer hardware

Leading the full due diligence for a large Australian family office considering a Series A investment alongside a tier 1 Australian VC, with a separate review of the strategic partnership that would come with the deal.

Mandate

Tell the family office whether to invest and on what terms. This deal had a strategic angle as well as a financial one, so it needed to stand up as an investment and as a partnership.

Built

End-to-end due diligence covering the market, product, commercial traction, unit economics, financial model and forecast, team, cap table and round terms. Alongside it, a review of the proposed strategic partnership: how the business could work with the family office’s wider network, what that was worth to each side, and how it should be set up.

Where it landed

One recommendation that weighs the financial case and the strategic case side by side, giving the family office a clear basis for its decision on the round.

II

European private equity fund formation

Fund structuringFranchise group and family officeAustralia / Europe

Structuring of a European private equity vehicle for one of Australia’s largest franchise groups and its associated family office, delivered with the full financial model and the complete investor documentation suite.

Mandate

Give an Australian franchise group and its family office a vehicle they could deploy through into European operators, on terms an outside investor would also accept.

Built

Jurisdiction and structure comparison, fund economics and distribution waterfall, the full investor documentation suite, and the governance and committee design that sits behind it.

Where it landed

A fully documented vehicle, with a model and investor pack ready for institutional investors, and a group that understands the economics before any money is committed.

III

Group growth strategy and delivery roadmap

Commercial strategyFranchise group and family officeAustralia / Europe

More than 40 growth initiatives across the group, in existing business lines and new ones, each modelled and sized, then sequenced into a roadmap to delivery and presented to the board.

Mandate

Find and size the growth opportunities across the group, in the business lines it already runs and in new ones, and work out which to pursue and in what order.

Built

Full financial modelling of more than 40 initiatives, each sized on the same basis, a roadmap sequencing them through to delivery, and the strategy papers that took the work to the board.

Where it landed

The models and strategy papers presented to the board, giving it one view of every initiative, what each is worth, and where it sits on the delivery roadmap.

IV

Financial modelling and investor materials

Investor readinessBeauty technologyConsumer

Operating and fundraising model built from the ground up, with the investor materials to match, for a consumer beauty-technology business.

Mandate

A consumer hardware and subscription business with real traction but no model that would stand up to investor questions.

Built

Cohort and retention analysis, acquisition cost and payback by channel, contribution margin by product and market, then a fundraising model, deck and data room built on the same model.

Where it landed

One model serving both the monthly operating cycle and the raise, so the plan shown to investors is the plan the business is run on.

V

Investor materials preparation

Investor readinessLegalTechEnterprise software

Financial model, investor pitch deck and supporting documentation prepared ahead of an institutional raise.

Mandate

Prepare an enterprise software business for institutional diligence, with materials written with the investor’s questions in mind.

Built

Three-statement and ARR build, equity story and pitch deck, data room index, diligence question bank with prepared answers, and cap table and dilution scenarios across term sheet variants.

Where it landed

A founder ready to answer investor questions, with the supporting evidence already in the data room.
